COVID19 Immunity and Greater Health

Posted in , ,

The Reality of All Viruses

  • In order for viruses to thrive, they need a breeding ground
  • The energetic structure of these viruses is Fear – the vibration and the frequency
  • Fear will attract the virus because there is an an energetic match –
  • Therefore it’s important to dispel the fear
  • Follow the protocols, the social distancing with confidence and not with fear.
  • Medical disclaimer

The Amazing Immune System

  • Viruses and Bacteria are the building blocks of our immune system
  • Each and every day we contact many viruses
  • Each and every day our immune system recognizes these foreign invaders and immunes the body from them.
  • Building Immunity is forte’ of Ayurvedic Medicine but its understanding of immunity is vast and deep
  • Western Medicine has no way for us to build immunity – Ayurveda provides a deeper understanding and effective tools

The Holistic View

  • Since the body is constantly changing and replacing itself, the key to health is the intelligence and energy that underlies the physical expression of human existence
  • When the body is unable to contact this field of energy and intelligence, that is when the possibility of disease occurs. Any block to contacting the underlying field creates the possibility that the immune system will malfunction.
  • When a cell is unable to contact its “memory” of how to function normal, it has said to have lost its “smriti” value, or the memory of the template for proper functioning
  • The loss of smriti or cellular memory is considered the source of all diseases

The Real Cause of Disease

  • Disease occurs when blocks to the underlying field of intelligence occur
  • These blocks are otherwise called “toxins” hinder the cells access to the underlying intelligence, called “ama” in Ayurvedic terminology
  • While pragya aparad or the mistake of the intellect is the root cause of all disease, acting out of tune with our nature sets up the possibility of creating ama
  • Ama is therefore a major mechanism for disease causation

Closer Look at Ama

  • 1) The consequence of poor digestion of food OR experience.
  • 2) Toxins which builds up in the body and prevents our connecting with the body’s underlying intelligence.
  • 3) Blockages – whether in our arteries, our eyesight, our joints or our ability to experience love and happiness.
  • 4) Improperly digested food – any toxin or waste not utilizable by the body as food.
  • 5) Excess of any by-products of metabolism that build up in our bodies: uric acid (causes gout), components of bile (form gallstones), etc.
  • 6) The products of maldigestion which block the channels or shrotas.

Ama and the Immune System

  • When digestion is weak, the body has a lot of undigested food that it has to process in some way
  • In the classical Ayurvedic texts, ama is said to start out as an off-white, slimy mucous that lines the small intestine and then “ripens,” and its by-products get absorbed into the blood stream and carried to other parts of the body where it creates depositions and blockages
  • This ama taxes the energy of the body and “ties up” or weakens the immune system, as it has to process this “foreign” invader just as it would a bacteria or virus

The Key – Preventing Ama

  • The key to keeping the immune system healthy in Ayurveda is to prevent ama
  • By preventing ama, we assure that there are no blocks to cellular memory (smriti) and that our physiology is in good contact with the energy and intelligence that guides its functioning
  • One of The most Effective and the Only way is to have a healthy digestion.
  • The fact is the most Americans ( 2 out of 3) suffer from poor digestion
  • Every single client comes with a weakened digestion

Building Digestion

  • Big topic – not the focus of this webinar
  • Will go over some general in the next slide
  • Few things to mention: Important to sit and look at the food so all the senses are awake and aid in the digestion process, Organic matters – pesticides become absorbed in the fatty tissues of the body,
  • Food is more than just dumping more “fuel” in the tank
  • When we are not aware of the experience eating food then we often overeat – we were not nurtured on the level of the mind, senses, and emotions and crave more (a common cause of obesity)

Building Digestion – Cont’d

  • Drink lemon hot water upon waking up
  • Light breakfast
  • Lunch your biggest meal
  • Cooked, warm, easy to digest

  • Avoid large cold drinks with or before meals
  • Chew your food well
  • Eat to 2/3 of your hunger
  • Don’t eat when angry, upset

Building Ojas

  • OJAS is the energy behind the scenes and provides immunity to all the diseases
  • IT’s the essence of 7 Dhatu optimum digestion
  • Gleam in the eyes, glow on the face, Clear focus
  • We need lots of OJAS for Covid19
  • Result of good digestion –opposite of AMA
  • Overexposure to sun and wind, Overdoing, Overindulging, overstimulation of senses(news)
  • Sleep
  • Meditation

Ayurvedic Herbs for Immunity

  • Ayurvedic herbs are the whole plant therefore containing the intelligence and the prana of the plant

  • In addition, make an immunity boost mix: (equal portion of turmeric powder, ginger powder and pepper powder) cook with a tsp of ghee
  • Take Celtic sea salt in water
  • Cheyvanparash – Highest Vit C ( made with Amla)

A Word on Vitamins/Supplements

  • Our definition of Holistic is taking vitamins and supplements
  • Devoid of energy/prana
  • High doses of these vitamins will cause liver toxicity

The Friendly bacteria

  • Depleted from overuse of antibiotics, birth control pills, immunizations, flue shots, protein pump imhibitors, steroids
  • Avoid Kombucha, Kefir, Sour Yogurt –
  • Eat home-made yogurt, that is sweet – at lunch time
  • Lassi
  • Probiotics

Treatment for Covid19

  • Liver Health
  • Good Bacteria
  • Bone Marrow
  • (Onion, garlic, ginger – the trinity)

Should we do a cleanse this year?

  • Consider the state of your health
  • Availability of food
  • Limitations to the grocery store
  • Family around, routines changed, and other stress
  • Cleanse can be depleting and can push out toxins causing flare ups and since the mind is highly stressed just to cope with our changed reality, I think to build immunity is the only thing to do right now.

Self-Care

  • Anchoring your day with a short morning routine
  • Oil massage
  • Take time to meditate, journal, reflect
  • Get outdoors – interact with your environment and the elements
  • Nasaya Oil – protection against viruses
